Asda Store Resite, Ellesmere Port

Henry Riley are acting as Project Manager for Asda with works to resite the existing Ellesmere Port store having commenced on 30th January 2006.
The project consists of the construction of a new 85,000 sq ft Asda Supercentre , on an existing 20,000 sq ft store into a new market hall, and the provision of some 1000 new car parking spaces.
The existing market hall is to be demolished once the new market hall opens, being replaced with additional car parking.
In order to maintain a trading presence in the town centre, for the duration of the relocation to the new store, the client has recently instructed the conversion of a vacant 12,000 sq ft town centre unit to provide a reduced food offer until opening of the new Supercentre on 7th August 2006. Works commenced on 3rd April 2006 with this temporary store due to open on 24th April 2006.
Asda entered into a Development Agreement with the Local authority who will be the landlord for the new market hall.
The contract value is circa £20M. |
