07th Jun 2005
Through the reconfiguration of the existing Savacentre at the White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds, Sainsbury?s are providing, in addition to a new 63,000 sq ft store, five new retail units along a new mall, which will link the new Sainsbury?s store to the existing centre atrium.
The works for the new shell for the Sainsbury?s store and the new retail units, which total 72,000 sq ft over ground floor and Mezzanine levels, are to be undertaken by Sainsbury?s to an agreed scope of works. The development will be sold to the landlord, Land Securities Plc, upon completion.
In addition to acting as employer?s agent for the supermarket works, Henry Riley have been appointed as both project management and quantity surveyors in respect of the development works. The project management role includes the negotiation of tenant specification and access for each of the five retail units.
Agreement of terms with three prominent high street retailers is imminent, with the development due for completion during Autumn 2005. |
